Summary
From the beginning, the Foch Foundation has had two objectives: offer high-tech medical and surgical care and the best comfort possible to all sick people, especially those most financially strained. The Foundation was established after the First World War through the initiative of a group of distinguished French and American personalities: Justin Godart, former Minister of Health, and Bernard Flursheim, who was in charge of reorganizing the American Red Cross after demobilization and distributing important donations in Europe.
