Stapleton’s new book: Where Liberty Dwells, There Is My Country: A collection of biographies of twentieth-century U.S. ambassadors to France which explores the personal and professional lives of these successful politicians, businessmen, and soldiers who served as the U.S. president’s personal representative during the most challenging events of the last century.
The Honorable Craig Roberts Stapleton served as ambassador to the Czech Republic (2001-2004) and France (2005-2009). He serves on the Boards of the 9/11 Memorial Commission and the George W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation.
Louise French McCready works at Vogue magazine and contributes regularly to The Huffington Post, Edible Manhattan, and Edible Brooklyn. Her next project is a book about iconic closed bakeries across the US.
